Terms of Use

Last updated: April 25, 2026

1. Agreement

By downloading, installing, or using Lectern AI (the "app"), you agree to these Terms of Use and to the Apple Standard End User License Agreement at apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/, which applies to all Mac App Store apps.

2. License

Lectern AI is licensed, not sold. You receive a non-transferable, non-exclusive license to run the app on Apple-branded hardware you own or control, subject to the usage rules in the Apple Media Services Terms.

3. Pro subscription

Pro features are unlocked by an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple's StoreKit. Pricing is shown in-app. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel at any time in App Store → Account → Subscriptions. All subscription terms are governed by Apple; we do not process payments.

4. Your API keys and content

You are responsible for the API keys you configure and for complying with each LLM provider's terms of service. Content you submit through the app is subject to the Privacy Policy.

5. Acceptable use

Don't use the app to generate content that is illegal, infringes on third-party rights, or violates your LLM provider's acceptable-use policy. We disclaim responsibility for content produced by or via third-party LLM providers.

6. Disclaimer

The app is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We make no warranty that LLM-generated content is accurate, complete, or fit for any particular purpose. Always review generated material before using it in a classroom or professional setting.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Remnant Security and Ian Trimble shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the app.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms occasionally. Material changes will be announced in app release notes. Continued use after a change indicates acceptance.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
